Welcome, Autumn! A new season calls for a little life update as we transition into sweater weather and can finally enjoy pumpkin spice without the judgmental attitudes. Growing up, summer was my vibe. I could spend all day outside, I enjoyed the heat and the sunshine and, of course, the break from school. Now, I find that Autumn is my jam. I enjoy the change of pace from summer spontaneity and right before the hustle and bustle of the holidays. Watching the leaves change color is just as magical as watching the trees bloom for the first time in months after a bitter winter. This is one of my favorite times of year to put together a little family bucket list of things to do that don't require sunscreen or too much sweating outdoors. This time around Elora is old enough to start enjoying our family traditions which makes this year all the more special!
I celebrated Autumn's arrival by unpacking our boxes of fall decorations and giving the house a little extra deep clean to welcome the change of season. Elora is mesmerized by all of the mini pumpkins sitting around the living room, so much so that I'm pretty sure she's moved all of them at least twice in the last 24 hours! I did a little rearranging of the furniture, too. Now I just need to stock up on some fall scents to enjoy!
A few things I'm looking forward to this season:
- a new season on Dancing with the Stars (go, Wayne!)
- sweater weather
- visiting the pumpkin patch with the family for the first time since 2020
- caramel apples
- long walks in the crisp autumn air
- fall festival
- boot season
- Hocus Pocus 2
- Evie's golden birthday
What are you looking forward to this Fall?
