Vacation 2023 Scrapbook

Team Wesley got to enjoy a full week on the beautiful beach at the Isle of Palms in South Carolina this year. A sweet member of our church family let us borrow her place so we could get away from the city, unplug, and soak up all of the sun! The kids are already asking to go back! Although I left my phone behind, my husband made sure to get some the photographic memories I’m sharing with you today. 

Our first destination was the Arboretum in North Carolina! It was a beautiful stop halfway between home and the beach, where we were able to stretch our legs a bit and take in a bit of nature. We could have made a whole vacation out of this place, but the beach was calling…

The Isle of Palms beach was our favorite yet! It wasn’t crowded, we found excellent parking near public access points, and the sand was covered in shells! We took our lunch with us and would spend the whole morning and afternoon frolicking in the waves. 

Our last major destination was the Brookgreen Gardens at Murrells Inlet. We were there just in time to experience our second Summer Lights Festival. It was a family favorite during our last vacation, and another place where we could spend an entire day taking it all in!

Summer break is officially over this week, but the time I spent with my family during our week away left me feeling refreshed and ready to take in these last months of 2023.
