The beginning of summer wasn't very magical for me. I was feeling really low, burnt out, and lost. One evening, after everyone was snug in their beds, I got cozy on the couch and decided to browse YouTube until I felt sleepy. The videos I happened upon kept my interest and left me wanting more. I watched as many as my insomnia allowed that night until I finally fell asleep on the couch, only to wake up the next morning wanting to continue the journey with my new internet friends! It was nice to find a way to distract myself from my feelings of loneliness and melancholy. I was also left so inspired that I was actually excited to get back to my reality and put to good use some of what I had learned and enjoyed.

Kayla Lobermeier's Under A Tin Roof channel has me longing to relocate to the quaint countryside and maybe even adopt several kittens! She is living the cozy fantasy life that I am dreaming of. From her dresses to her recipes; I'm hooked on her videos. The family watches them with me, too, and we all agree that there's something so calming about watching her content.

Darling Desi was the first to inspire me on all things cottagecore. Each video is like a cinematic masterpiece to enjoy. She shares content for all seasons, is an avid reader, and has encouraged me to start romanticizing my life more. Her content is such an inspiration to me!

Rachel Talbott's channel was my first discovery this year. She will inspire you to take up simple and slow living for yourself. Her content varies from self-care and beauty to home and garden inspiration. I love following along with her at her cozy little farmhouse in Tennessee.

Dawn at the Minimal Mom has been a huge help and guide as I am transitioning to living a simpler, more meaningful lifestyle. I love all things clean and organized and she has the best advice for how to get things done!

I want the content that I consume to have a positive effect on my mind and my life. After watching videos from these creators, I'm not left feeling less than or discouraged. I'm actually excited to be right where God planted me and to make my little corner of the world a brighter and happier place!
