In the past, I would wake up and workout or do my Bible study before hustling along with my morning, but I never had to leave home, so I could stay in my comfy clothes and knock out a ton of chores while the kids ate breakfast and got ready for school. Now that I’m on a tighter schedule, chores have to wait until I return home or in the evening after the kids return from school. I can't wait to pack lunches the morning of anymore, because then I'd have less time to keep my kids on task and get myself ready to get out of the door on time. There's also gym uniforms and water bottles that need to be washed and ready to be used the next day. My evening hours are spent in the kitchen now. After cooking and cleaning up dinner, I get the laundry going and the lunches sorted. By the time that's done, I have to help the kids get in bed and usually have a little bit of time to read or watch a show with Daniel before I need to turn in myself.
From the time my kids are dropped off at school until I have to leave to pick them up, that’s the time frame where I can make the most happen. I don't want to get settled with waiting for the evening rush and not make the most of it. I want to make a productive routine for myself that will become the active lifestyle I know I've been craving deep down in my soul. I want to still be able to have some time to sit down and play with the little ones, but also get back into a Bible study, do a naptime workout, and maybe even set aside some time to write out my future blogs. Oh, and read some books, too! I don't want to live solely for the sunrise and sunset, but for all that's in between, too!
