READ
It is Christmas without Christ. Read up about the real meaning of Christmas and the promises that have been fulfilled and will be fulfilled soon! The book of Isaiah foretold Jesus' birth and the Gospels of Luke and John share all about Jesus birth on the first Christmas.
GO
Take Christmas on the road. Take a tour of your city and find all the best Christmas light displays. Perhaps there's a Christmas festival or pageant in your town; make plans to attend! It's also the season for Christmas plays and live Nativity programs. No matter where you go, don't forget to bring your Christmas cheer!
WATCH
I curated a list of classics to add to your list this year along with your favorites! I grew up watching A Smoky Mountain Christmas, Unlikely Angel, Borrowed Hearts, and The Bishop's Wife. A Castle for Christmas and A Boy Named Christmas are new favorites of mine that I keep going back to. What's on your list?
EAT
My current Christmas menu includes sausage ball appetizers, spicy party mix, white chocolate peppermint bark, and raspberry Linzer cookies. I'll be sharing my holiday recipe book soon!
DRINK
Christmastime is the best time for punch! Even if you're not attending a holiday party, a pitcher of punch adds a special festive touch to your meals. And you can't go wrong with a classic mug of hot chocolate! I'll be sharing my Christmas Morning and Sorbet Party Punch recipes soon!
MAKE
I will never get tired of making salt dough ornaments at Christmastime! This is the best time of year to get creative and design your own Christmas cards. Gingerbread houses are a Christmas necessity, too. Make sure to add these festive activities to your Christmas bucket list. This year I can't wait to try a recipe for a simmering pot to make the whole house smell like Christmas!
LISTEN
Christmas music has been on the radio since November 1st. My current favorite Christmas albums that I've had on repeat come from Lindsey Stirling, Tommee Profitt, David Arkenstone, and Hanson. Just add Christmas music for an instant mood lifter!
DO
Host a family game night! A hot chocolate party pairs perfectly along with it or before embarking on an evening ride to check out Christmas light displays or with a Christmas movie night! Pancakes and pajamas is also another fun family tradition to look forward to this time of year. Everyone in the fam loves pancakes for dinner!
What are you looking forward to this Christmas, Reader? As always, Merry Blogmas!
