You would have had 39 candles today. 21 birthdays have passed since you went home to Heaven. I'm so blessed to have been able to spend your last birthday earth side with you. Your body is still wearing the watch I bought you. It has ceased to track the passing of time, but I haven't. I wore your necklace to keep you extra close to my heart today, your day. I bought a birthday cake to honor your birth, the life that you lived, and the impact you have had on my life. I listened to Weezer (the green and blue albums!) and looked back through all of our memories together. I still can't believe that you ever cared for me; these days it's hard to feel worthy of much else let alone love. You are so very missed, Devin. What was true then still rings true today as it will forever. I am always thinking of you and will see you again one day. Happy Birthday, love.
